Wisconsin’s Northwoods puts on one of the best fall color shows in the Midwest. The Hayward, Cable, and Seeley area is surrounded by the Chequamegon–Nicolet National Forest, where hardwoods blaze with color from mid-September through mid-October.
Peak colors typically arrive in the last week of September through the first week of October, though this varies by year. Maples, birch, aspen, and oak create a spectacular mix of red, orange, yellow, and gold.
